Yesterday a friend of mine came over. He saw the car when I first baught it. All beat up and red int. I now have converted all the int to black, so I have the black on black theme. I like. He wanted to go for a ride, so I said ya what the heck. So we hop in and roll to Derby. I am setting at this light and a red 03 cobra pulls up next to me. The guy rolls down his window and asked if I wanted to give it a go. I took another look over and the guy must have been in his 50's. Of course you don't say no when you got a friend in the guy with you ( you know the whole macho thing) Well I told the guy that It wouldn't really be a race for him since he would kill me. He said its all for fun right. So the light goes green and I get out in front by about 10 feet. Then I hear that supercharger start to whine. OH MY GOD. Instant chub. I Never thaught that I would here that next to me all out. Needless to say my friend is in the shoty saying Go GO GO GO GOOO GOOOOO then it turns to no No NO NO NO NO. Then the loudest nicest looking Cobra goes tairing by me and I loved every second of it . I loved getting my ars wooped by it. Moral of the whole thing. It is nice to see guys of all ages getting into it and modding mustangs. It gives me more anitiative to start my turbo build. I am hunting around right now to see what setup I want to go with and either single or twin. Oh Well thaught I would share I got ate up by an 03 cobra grandpa. hail to the vets and old age. :Zip2: im done now
yeah its always nice to see all the different ages that are into mustangs. But i know what you mean about the blowers, when we had our lightning with the smaller pulley that thing was so fun to drive and so fun to listen to. Also i rode in a turbo 5.0 he just put a Pro turbo kit on it and OMG i thought that a 550 HP 03 cobra was sick but man a 550 HP 5.0 is to die for i can't wait till i get my new motor and nitrous on it. jus so i can hang with him.
I liked the whole experiance. I have been debaiting for a while what to do. We are buying a house here this summer/fall and getting the wife a new car. So I get her old one and the stang gets to be revamed all the way now. Yeah them older guys got the retirement money to spend on parts. I got a wife and kid to spend it on. LOL JK
What do you have done to your mustang as far as go fast goodies? I can't waite for the day to put shame on a 03/04 cobra....but thats wayyyy off in the future and about $15K later lol. Nice death
Get some H/C/I and some spray and it wont happy anymore, a pullied mystic cobra thought he would be cocky and gave me the jump, so I raped him. The look on his face after he drove by was hilarious. I gave thumbs up and I got nothing back /cry

Ive run an 03 or two at the track and done well... on the street Id do alright unless one was modded or he gets me out of hole... Fun races win or lose are always the best! Oh and my dad who is almost 50 will be rocking a mid 10 second fox, and 9s on the jug!
I raced one last summer at New England Dragway and beat him out of the hole pretty good. By mid-track, he was going by me and beat me with a 12.0 @ 120 mph to my 12.5 @ 109. They're pretty strong, as well they should be with that supercharger.
I actually managed to beat one in the 60' at a test and tune night last summer, but i don't think the guy was very experienced and he put about 6 car lengths on me by the end of the track
Hey it must be a good setup. A friend of mine got the cobra intake and he ported and polished the runners on his stock one. (The one in the pic is his old one he did. I painted it black to go with the black on black) he had it painted a silver color to go with his. I am gonna get a tower brace soon too. WIERD.
