Ran 13.9 @ 103. That's all I was shooting for; under 14's I think with a couple more passes I had at least a 13.7 in there. It was my first time with rear wheel drive. I had too much air in the tires (30+psi), didn't get the launch down (2.16 60ft) and was probably soft on the shifting. I've taken my WRX there a couple times, with a best of 13.9 @ 99 mph. that car definitely had more in it, but I wouldn't abuse the trans. Ran the GT against my friend in his STi, who was running 13.1 @ 103mph best. The funny thing is, I was able to run out third across the finish, and he had to shift into fifth. Definitely puts the need for shorter gears into perspective. Tom
Is your car the manual? Judging by your speed, you may be able to shave at least a few tenths off yout ET. Your 60' isn't that bad, but your ET reflects either granny shiffting or lots of tire spin. I was managing all 2.0s in the 60' with 33 PSI on OEM 18s. That leads me to believe the autos are much easier to launch than the manuals(for near stock powered cars perhaps). A 13.1@103 for the STI sure seems like alot off the line(thanks to AWD), but no azz behind it to run more speed.
Yup, manual with intake & canned tune. I definitely wasn't shifting too hard. The AWD definitely helps on the launch; he was running 1.7 60 ft times. That & the gearing were the biggest advantages. Tom
There's def more ET left in it. I ran a 13.7 @ a little over 100 MPH bone stock in my 07 GT manual with a 2.0x 60 foot time... But I don't baby it.. I powershift the hell out of it.
