What's up guys. My wife bought me the Agent 47 Mirrors and a Billet GT medallion to replace the faux gas capy for Chrismas. I am going to have my body shop do the install. While I have my ride up there I was going to go ahead and add the GT500 spoiler for him to paint.

Then I got to thinking, should I go with the spoiler, or just have him fill the holes and restripe?

My Vista Blue stripes are painted, so there will be some cost. My guess is it will be slightly cheaper for him to fill the holes and touch up rather than paint the spoiler and install.

    Opinions?

Go with the GT500 spoiler. It would look sick on your stang.

Boy, I'm torn on that one. They both would look outstanding on your car. I say go spoiler delete. It will give you a smooth look that most cars with stripes don't have.

This car is one of the reasons why I would like to go spoiler delete. The money difference is not going to be great, so I really just want to pick the best look for my car.

Don't get me wrong, I really like the GT500 spoiler as well. This is a tough one! I need to lower my ride to complete the look, but all in do time!

I think it'll look even better than that, because the CS rear bumper makes it even sleeker. Go for it.

I prefer the factory spoiler. To each his, or her, own.

I went for the Spoiler Store painted GT500 spoiler because at the price, it would have been stupid not to. I had the stock spoiler off for a day and almost warmed to the no spoiler look but for my money, it looks too much like a saloon to pull it off from most angles.

Have a look here for my install on the SHR medallion
    http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2177534/3

I'm afraid that even following the SHR method, pulling the tail flap down gives you one sticky patch view so my advice is to rip the patch off and replace it with 3M tape. It's easy to locate as there are holes in the panel. Initially, you think it looks a bit flat but then it kind of grows on you and of course, it's pure quality.

I didn't do the install on the spoiler as I followed Bigdawg's guide which is pretty definitive.

Overall, the GT500 spoiler just makes the rear end.

I removed my spoiler for one week and it felt naked without it. Even tho it looked nice without it I was already use to it. I suggest you remove it and ride a few days just tape the holes temporarily. there is tape holding it down so be careful during removal not to scratch it. As for the gt500 spoiler IMO it is the cruddiest looking spoiler ever made, there are better looking brands out there. :)

You know, a middle ground would be the CDC ducktail. You'll still need to get the holes filled, and the spoiler could be removed if you grow tired of it.

I bought the GT500 spoiler recently and it is getting striped to match the rest of the car. I took the stock one off about a week ago and I really like the look of it "spoilerless"...now i have a dilemma as well. Will probably wind up putting the spoiler on.
  13. kooldawg6 mine works really well and can take a fair amount

I agree that the white with blue stripes looks very good spoilerless. IMO the spoiler delete makes the car look smooth and refined whereas the GT500 spoiler makes it more aggressive. I love the aggressive look. Also to me, the GT500 looks much better with the spoiler from the backside than without.

I have to agree with KoolDawg....my car came with the spoiler delete from the factory but IMO it just looked too plan granted it was simple and clean....maybe if I lowered the car first my opinion would have been different but i'm personally very happy with the gt500 spoiler and IMO really adds to the car over no spoiler especially yours since you have the stripes (which I plan on a light grey in the furture)....if you go to my recent thread here in talk there are some before pics with no spoiler and some afters mine is also white just no stripes...maybe it'll help with a decision? Good luck!

I agree with Darkfire, your car will look better than the car you're inspired by because of the CS rear. Go with the delete look, few pull it off but yours will look sweet. Definately not saying the GT500 spoiler won't look good, win-win situation if you ask me. Can't go wrong either way. Can't wait to see pics.

How about a photo of the front of your car. I am thinking about adding the CS fascias to mine.
