Hey guys, I still hit the boards late at nite sometimes and catch up on threads from the oldtimers to see what's going on.
Speaking of, I got a wedding announcement from Crovax. Is that not crazy? She finally said yes I guess.
Wood, em me sometime, I lost all of your contact info last year about this time when a hard drive died.
Lemme think of updates here...
On the SVO I built my version of the ultimate iron head, best work yet anyway.
Put Stingers FMIC setup on it. His kit is awesome, he did great work on it. Install is about an hour. It does a fantastic job. I wish I could post pics easier.
So I had to get Evergreen Turbo to build a good T3/T4. It rocks and I can run a cool 24 psi, but it spools hard at low rpm, full boost is about 3000 rpm. I haven't had it dyno'd since I added those, but it's mucho stronger over the 240/316 it had previous w/ the stock head, T3 and Volvo IC.
Hoping before the next SVO reunion to get a Holley 950 Commander Sytem and junk the LA3. One of the guys on the SVO board running it dyno'd 370 hp and his car is super streetable, built about the same as mine, so that's the next step.
The LX is still a bit faster than the SVO, but when I get the Holley setup on the SVO I'll probably do the same for the LX. I don't have any track time on the LX. I just drive it on pretty days or to a show now and then. It's basically garage furniture. Why'd I build it?
Salute the SVO's - on the track at Barber mostly all of the little 2.3's turbo's could out pull the majority V8's out there. That was impressive and I was surprised. Of course there were the really built cars, and true race cars that dusted and lapped everyone. I'm proud to say in my class my car was about the ugliest on the track (see pics!) - but I love her!
Salute!
