I think I'm making sense. I'm ripping out my Manifold (it has a gasket exhaust leak anyway) and the 2 catlack (spelling??) converters out and running a straight pipe with a header instead. Does anyone still use catlack converters in this forum? or have you changed it. I discovered why I have no real power and its all back pressure. I thought tranny at first (yes POS of a A4LD as you guys all hate) but my Dad being a mechanic told me to hold off on getting a new tranny. He jumped in my stang to take it for a spin , needless to say he said he had to pull over to let cars go by. We then undid the converter from the manifold and took down my road . It was loud and probally pissed off a few people, but it had its balls back. Something I would ever never thought of.

Anyways thought I'd share this with you guys.

I've had an n/a manifold and an n/a header and now I have a ported turbo manifold on my svo and turbo header on my LX and I like the header's the best, they are improvements. No cat's in them.

I would have to agree, I just swaped in a 96 ranger header in place of my manifold. Big difference. ALthough, I still have a high flow cat, big difference though. Best $20 I've spent on my car.
