    Hey guys, this is my first time dropping an engine in to the II! Do I install the headers onto the heads:
    * before I drop it in
    * After I drop it in
    * While I am dropping it in
    * Don't need no stinking headers :)

    Also any other helpful hints?

    Just a quick tip, I had a problem with header gaskets somtimes blowing out, all that ended when I started to coat anti seize on both sides of the gasket, no more blow outs, and the gaskets come off easy.

    I always hang the headers on the inner fenders with wire or something, roughly where they have to go. As I'm maneuvering the engine/trans assembly into place, I make sure the headers are aligned with the exhaust ports.

    I would like to thank everyone that posted their install process and other hints!

    Looks like I will try to maneuver the engine in with the headers roughly in place. It did not look like there would be enough room to fit them through after the engine was in!

    Again thanks for your assistance and I will take lots of pictures and maybe even video of us trying to get it in on Friday!

    Wish me luck!

    Chad
