There was quite a downpour about a week ago and my amp is mounted on my sub box in tha hatch below where the rear glass ends on my hatch. I guess it leaked some water into tha car, directly into my amp. I went driving down the road leaving work and my bass disappeared and I smelled a nasty burning smell. Pop the hatch and sure enough, my amp is smoking. Knew it was fried then and there... fuses and all were still good. Weird thing is, there is an indicator light on the side that lights up green when it has power and everything is ok, and it changes to red when something is wrong (bad ground, fuse, etc)... it still lights up green and says it has power fine... it just doesn't run tha subs anymore.... wtf?

yea and for the meantime i would find a better place to mount your amp such as mounting it to your back seat
