I'm planning on fabbing up a 3-link setup in my '67 Mustang similar to the setup that is on the '05. Basically I don't want a system that makes me get rid of the back seat or uses heim joints as they suck for street use. My question to you guys is if anyone can take some quick measurements next time they have the car up in the air? Just rough idea - need eye to eye length of the lower control arms and the upper link and also the width of upper and lower control arms (at the mounting locations). Thanks ahead of time!
If I had a lift I'd get you those measurement but instead I can only tell ya that you should get a hold of BMR Fabrication. They could help you out. bmrfabrication.com -Dan
What's the matter, don't want to shell out the cash for this: http://www.totalcontrolproducts.com/rearcoil.html J/K. I'll take a look this weekend.
Take a look at the watts link setup that Fay's 2 has to offer. Looks like a really good bolt in system. I was looking at this setup for my '71. Jason
scro, thanks man! thanks everyone for the links. i'm pretty familiar with what's on the market, but more interested in doing my own because i have access to everything i need to fabricate the system and i'm not exactly looking for a "bolt-on" solution. JSwarek, i'm looking to get rid of leafs altogether and running coilovers. will probably use a panhard rod as i'm already at a premium for undercar clearance and don't want to go through the added expense of a watts setup.
Bullitt; Sorry to leave you hanging. My father-in-law passed away and we had to hot-foot it to Nashville, TN. If you still need those measurements, just bump this thread and I'll try again this weekend.
scro, Sorry to hear about your loss. I'm in no hurry. I've got Edbert from the Classic Forums taking a look at his '05 GT and taking some measurements for me so don't worry about it. I'll probably have to try to find one I can take a look at closer anyways cause I'm want to measure the mounting locations on the chassis and all that as well. Thanks again.
