I have 4.30's in my Mach, my RPMs at 70 mph are at 2500. I had 4.30's in my 98 Cobra and the fun factor was way up. Don't fear the gear!

Ok trying to read as much as I can on here it seems that the magnaflow mufflers get good reviews for airflow would a K&N filter with the silencer removed along with a couple of weld in magnaflows give a noticeable response at WOT? Also how much do gears cost to install & what ratio are the stock gears on a 97 Cobra?

OK I'm starting to not "Fear the Gear"...if he added the 4.10's would it affect his highway driving? What would his RPM's at 70mph be in 5th gear? It seems that gears are def. the way to go and what should Ford motor racing 4.10 gears cost? Thanks

do a search. 4:10 gears, 80mph 5th gear 3000 rpm. A catback will give a little power, more sound, but worth it. if the silencer is still there yank it. You should notice a k&n. Computer programer. Gears freaked me out for months before I did them. Gotta say thats my vote. As far as gas mileage, driving 18 highway, sorta (more like 50 to 80 or faster)miles plus in town miles, I get around 220 miles out of a 1/4 tank of gas. And I definately have a heavy foot. or you could go off road with the exhaust. 300 catback, 150 for a hpipe ???????good luck, chris
