hi guys, i have a quick question - a friend of my dads recently offered this car to him for 7500$ and my dad was asking me whether he should buy it in order to sell it for more. it is a 1966 mustang 2 dr hardtop, automatic, no AC. i think the nadaguides.com averaged at 14k, low was 6 and high was 24 - however, i dont think it will go for that. the paint is all cracked, there is some damage but regardless it still looks good. any input on whether its a keeper or not is appreciated. thanks

Being a V8 car. I would say $6000-$7500. Should sell pretty well if the engine compartment got painted and detailed.

I wouldn't buy it to turn around and sell. That doesn't always work out, especially if the work being done is paint. Something also seems wrong about turning a profit from a "friend." A real friend would just help THEM get the most they can for it. But then again...how good of a friend is it?
