hissing noise from battery

alright guys tonight when i was cruising i got accepted in with the mustang crowd in utah there are about 11 stangs and one srt-4 that roll around and dust ricers. one guy with a fox even had a 427 under his hood it was nice. well anyways
I NOTICED THAT WHEN I WAS CRUISING AROUND MY BATTERY(RELOCATED TO THE TRUNK) WAS MAKING A KIND OF WEIRD HISSING NOISE, ANY IDEA WHAT THIS IS AND WHAT THE REMEDY WOULD BE?

could be overcharging or you are burnin wires, possibly related to your other thread. LOL. good luck.

i have an old battery with a post that is broken from the plastic.every time i pick the battery up to use it is hisses like a silent fart or something, it did this before the post broke away too. when i used to charge it with my charger when the al. was not hooked it would start the bubble and hiss. may just be an old battery. have your alt. tested to see what it is charging
