The Bullitt and myself did not farewell last night. Reaction times were consistantly over 1 second. 60Ft times averaged 2.2 seconds. 1/8 mile times averaged 9.4 seconds and mile per hour was consistantly 77mph.

I was racing against my buddy in his slightly modded 95 Trans Am. He was killing me up to about half track and then I started pulling in. However, I could not beat him across the finish line. His reaction and 60ft times were better then mine ever time but my ET and MPH hour was better everytime.

I need information on how to better setup my Bullitt. Here are the specs for mine and his car.

Trans Am: Stock 16" wheels running 30psi. He has added exhaust, K&N filter, tubular K-member and Eibach pro springs. (LTO engine, rated at 275hp)

Bullitt: Chrome 03 Cobra wheels with big 18x10.5's in the back running 25psi (62lbs each), K&N filter, 4:10 gears, Long tube headers, catted H-pipe, and flows welded in.

He said he hooked really good all night. I could get off the line with minimal wheel spin but spun bad from 1st to 2nd and a little from 2nd to 3rd.

I am looking to get a set of Pro Stars or Drag lites to remedy my traction and weight problem but still need help with inceasing my MPH and reducing my ET. I will work on my Reaction and 60ft times.

Here is one of our best time slips.
    1.011 ----Reaction---- .704
    2.226 ----60 Ft------- 2.212
    8.867 ----ET @ 594 FT- 9.006
    9.445 ----1/8 ET ----- 9.617
    77.72 ----1/8 MPH ---- 73.61

He finished first by .1358 seconds.

Not bad times considering the lack of traction you had. You definately need the slicks.

don't worry about the reaction time. just nail the launch :)
you should be going a bunch faster than that.

you really don't need to set up your car better. you need to learn your car better & drive it better. sorry to sound harsh but that's the reality of it. with your mods you should be well into the 8's in the 1/8th.

i ran at my local 1/8th & got:

    react. - .046
    60 ft - 2.195 :nonono:
    330 ft - 5.977
    1/8 et - 9.045
    mph - 80.18

& that run is with only l/t's & prochamber, so just practice a little more & you should lay it to that ole T/A :nice:
now i need to go re-learn to launch on 3.27's instead of 4.10's (but i won't have to deal with them for long  ) i couldn't cut a decent 60 all night :nonono:
