A friend and i were arguing if the scoop on the 02-04 hoods were bolt on....Are they? And is it the same exact hood as the stangs without the large scoop (like on a 2000) just bolted on to it?
Yes, they are bolted on and I am near positive the hoods are basically, if not identically, the same.
the 99 'special edition'? (don't remember it's real name) had a stick-on scoop, it's held on with tape and a couple pins... they taper down more at the rear than the 02-04 scoops do
yes the scoops just bolt on to the factory hood, and yes they are the same exact hood. im pretty certain u can get the scoop seperate b/c we had to replace a hood and it did not come with the scoop already bolted to it, just had the holes pre drilled.
