they beef up the 3650s and t5s and the stocker transmissions. they claim on their site they are good for 750 hp but tells little about the parts in the tranny or what they do to beef it up.

anyone have one of these and beating the heck of it? how do they hold up? any idea? are they worth it or just go tko or cobra /viper t45? how much power do those hold?

There are a couple guys over at ModularFords that are running the beefed up 3650's. So far I havent heard of anyone breaking one. I am not sure what they all do to beef it up, but I know the main thing they do is upgrade it to a 26 spline shaft- the 10 spline stocker is supposed to be the weakest link.

If you call and up and talk to Walt he'll tell you what has been upgraded in the transmissions that make them stronger. Pro Motion does some good work.

I bought a clutch from Walt and it's great!! Walt kept telling me that he recommended the 26 spline input shaft for over 400HP.. In fact I ordered the 10 spline clutch disc and he sent me the 26 instead.. :rlaugh:

I am looking into buying one of these kits for my t-45. I am curious to see how much power they can hold as I will be making 650ish to the wheels.

oh, thanks guys! somehow i couldnot find this thread....lol. anyway, they seem pretty good and i havent heard anything bad either.

see the good thing here is it a easy swap for a stronger tranny and not as expensive. parts fit back up better and you dont have to worry about the clutch and d/s sizes as it is the same thing.

the main thing here is how much power can they hold without comprimising the life of the tranny too much. i also am shooting for 550-600rwhp in the end.

i have to find out if they can handle it.

The only negative thing I can find is that the 3650 and T-45 have integrated bellhousings so you can't run a SFI spec unit. I've heard that you can run a transmission blanket though..

I'm debating getting my 3650 beefed up or doing the TKO600 swap.. With the TKO you at least KNOW that it will hold 600ft/lbs.
