how do you know when your '65 mustang Upper & Lower Ball Joints have gone bad? I'm in the process of installing my disc brakes and was told to change these now, if needed.
Change them anyway, it´s not that easy to know when they are going to fail, so .
If you have owned the car for some years and have some miles on it I´d suggest to replace them, and when your at it, replace the bushings also and then you won´t have to think about these parts for a long time.

68 and up moog makes a replacement kit 67 and below you have to buy new arms.
Shameless plug!
If you need some for a 67 I have 2 new MOOG LCA’s that I also have energy suspension poly bushings for I would like to sale they are NEW I have decided to just get the Global west ones.
If there are ball joints available with a grease fitting - get them. Else, frill/tap/install them yourself. Get the 90 degree fittings for easier greasing. This will go a long way to keeping them quiet over time.
