Looking to buy this used Bassani X-Pipe. How does it look to you? It was on his car for 6 months. I don't know much about exhaust, so I just want to make sure everything looks sound before I buy this. I can't wait to get my Stock H-Pipe taken off (and I'm sure the blower can't wait either :p )!

$225 shipped. Said it comes with all hardware too. It's the SS series.

I'm assuming the wear and tear is normal for something riding under your car, no? My concern is it's missing one of those plates to which it would attach to your catback. Right?

it looks like all teh hardware is there as far as the clamps and the brackets to bolt it up to the catback that looks like the one that can be interchanged with straight pipes and cats

It doesn't look bad at all actually. They will all look like that once you have them under there for a while. You'll be amazed when you see your stock pipe how ugly it is :D

That's what I'm saying. Speedfreak said it looks pretty beat up, but I don't think so.

Oh well, he's letting it go for $240 shipped to my door. Not bad for a midpipe that's $500 + s/h brand new.

I hope this thing sounds good!!

    $225 or $240

There is someone selling one locally for $160 (catted) with MILS also, though its for 99-04. If it would fit my ride, i'd buy it :(

Now that I think about it, I retract my previous statement. It does look to be in pretty good shape. I think I was just focusing on the black stuff on the cat.

Put the race pipes on and I'm sure it will :nice:

$240 shipped sounds good enough to me. $160 is a damn steal, but that's local. No shipping and crap needed.

Race pipes? I'm sure it would lol. But his don't have the rice pipes, just catted. Can you buy the o/r legs somewhere?

You don't think it'll sound better with the cats over my Stock H? lol

Oh, I'm sure it will sound better than stock. Even with the cats in there. I think you can buy the O/R legs but I'm not sure.

It looks good to me, i'd buy it. If you want to clean it up a little, take some steel wool over it. That will shine it up.

Are people generally happy with this x-pipe? I haven't really read much.

The Bassani x-pipe is pretty much the best there is. The only thing is is that you have Flows. People have mixed feelings about the sound of the Bassani and BBK x-pipe with Flows. You might want to look into that.

I hope Bassani has worked out the problems with the Catco cats they used on the X pipe I had. Tried to go for an inspection and it failed terribley. I'd be more willing to try magnaflow after being burned by Bassani.

I'll have to see if I can dig up some clips. If I'm not happy, then it's time for me to upgrade to either the Bassani SS Catback or Stingers. :nice:
