    Hi to All,

I ahve just baught a 1968 mustang, all numbers matching one owner car. The car was baught a a joke and I baught it to restore. The person I baught the car from never got the title and never wanted it because he only baught it as lawn art. I baught it for the history. I only have the bill of sale and can not get it title in Maryland with that. Is there anywere that I can get t tile for this car. I have already had it checked out for being stolen and it is not. Please help if you can.

can't you just file for a lost title? I don't know about MD, but in GA you don't need a title for a car that old anyway. All we have to do is get insurance, then carry proof of insurance and a bill of sale down to the tag office, and within 5 minutes I have a license plate, no questions asked. There may be some sort of age loophole in MD as well. I am sure there is a way to get a title though, you just have to talk to the right people at the DMV or tag office or whatever.

I ran into this awhile ago. This company helped me out:www.broadwaytitle.com

They are pretty widely known, the registry had no problems.

They do charge for the service though, worth it.
