what exhaust sounds best. looking to put one on my 96 cobra Cats or no cats? X Pipe or h pipe? what kinda muffler?
Exhaust tone is a personal preference. Some are going to say Bassani, Flowmaster, Mac, etc. The best I can suggest is searching around on YouTube for clips of the exhaust you want to hear and make your decision based off of that.
I have a mac x-pipe and cat back on my car and it really turns heads when I get on it > but the best I have heard is on my buddys 03 GT . he has a SLP with long tube BBk headers and a x-pipe with cats > SWEET is a UNDER statement>
no search button on the top of your panel? not being "that guy" that has to be an ******* and point out things like this, but many a person has been shredded on this website due to the question you are asking, mainly because it is ALL personal preference. 10 different people will give you ten different answers (as far as x/h and muffler combos)...now that i'm off my soapbox, for a 4v 96, magnaflow x (o/r or hi-flo cats) and magnapacks sound straight up baaaaaad to the bone. but your best bit is to go to google video and search for sound clips of the (predicted) 374 different responses you get from people
