Who is running one and What did you do with the engine, are you happy with it, do you wish you had more performance.
Should I just buy one and be happy with it, or wait and build the engine first?
Did any of you do your own engine work? Whou would your send me to within driving distance of Maine?
I have an 06 with 20K on it, I don't want to be one of the guys who wished he had built the engine and is now trying to sell what I bought two years ago.
Any input or websites would be helpfull,
    thanks in advance,
    Doc

i plan on getting a KB 2.8 mammoth. BUT before i do i will build up the engine. why spend over 5k and not have alot of fun with it? Build the engine, get the blower then turn up the boost and take advantage of your 5-6k investment in a blower.

    I have been running a KB 2.4 at 12 PSI since 2006.
I have a stock bottom end.
You dont need a built block to hve fun with this.
My car runs consistent 11.40s all day long.

You did not build up motor, but did build transmission and other areas, to get those all day long 11.4s.

The KB is a terrific blower. My mate also has had the 2.4L KB on his 05GT for a very long time. Over time (after breaking lots of stuff), he built up his motor, rearend etc and recently bought my 4r70w tranny. About 6 weeks ago, he got 21 lbs boost out of that blower on pump gas and ran 10.3 at 137 mph, launching off idle.

Depends what your end-goals are. Don't have to build anything...keep boost at sane level...good conservative tune...may not have troubles. Once you start wanting faster ETs, you have to build first or break stuff first.

I have been running my KB 2.6L with intercooler at 10lb of boost since October 2007 on stock bottom end with no problems...Remember it's all in the tune. A good tune and you should be fine and will have a lot of fun. :D

I have the 2.6L KB it will give your stock block all it can handle
    Here are my dyno results
    4" pulley 8-9 psi = 456/433
    3 1/2" pulley 10-11 psi = 480/450
3" pulley 12-13 psi = 510/490 dynoed on a very hot day (bent rod in a week)

Now with built bottom end SPR 127550 cams, KB throttle body
    3" pulley 580/537
