Well, all I need to do is see if I have the correct trigger assembly. If I dont Ill try and find one. Then Ill just need to file down the "keeper" that stops it from firing another round. and I can swap out trigger assemblies in about 2 minutes so that wouldnt be a problem either.

And I never shot anyone so the cops wont always be watching me.

Plus the gun is in my great grandfathers name, and he passed away years ago.

I beleiveif your caught with it. And i mean just the the shaved "keeper", it will still be considered an auto weapon. Well at least here in AZ. At least i think

Well when I go to shoot it, I will transpot it with the normal trigger assmebly, ans swap them when I get there. And the place I go it private property and FAR away from anyone. And if anyone out there actually DOES hear it, they wont give a ****.
Plus cops around here dont knbow how to look for a shaved keeper.

true. Just letting you know. Once when i went shooting, i was bumping my AR, and got held by the cops for like an hr, because they taught it was automatic, and were to dumb to understand what bumping was!!!! And the fact that i was Mexican in that hill billy little town didn't help either.

Yea, people see guns like that qnd they are like "OMG TERRORISTS"

Thats why i love living in LA. I have walked down a street in the middle of town with my M1 on my back, my pistol on my side, a big green army jacket, a k-bar on my boot, and a big metal army helmet and nothing happened.

I did it on a dare. It was pretty damn funny.

EDIT: The gun is going back together till I can come up with some more research on what exactly I need to do.

I think that the "keeper" is called a "sear". It will definitely be illegal, whether it is in a gun or not.

I have a friend that has an aftermarket stock that somehow makes his AR-15 fully auto. Only with that stock. ??????? Problem is, he's a former convict. He'll have REAL problems if he's caught with that.

    I want a fully auto Glock. ;)

That Carbine is an antique piece, you sure you want to go messin' around with it? I understand shooting it is fine, what's the point of a gun if you can't shoot it? But I'd find another POS to dink around with if it were me....but that's just me. Your gun, do what you want.

I decided Im NOT going to file down the trigger thats on it, so I can make it original again in a matter of minutes. As for it breaking, these are some pretty tough guns and I can find original parts online FI something happens to break.

Yea I know, but the point of keeping it off the gun is so someone cant just walk up to it and shoot it.

Hmmm, I think Im gonna call this off. I was doing research and found that without the sear the gun will fire "full auto" but it isnt really auto, its called "slam fire" and will royally **** up a gun not designed for it.

O well, off to the black market.

You are about to commit a title 3 felony...with a minimum sentence of 10 years in a federal penetentiary.

And yes, the ATF DOES take this **** very seriously. Ask Randy Weaver.

Do what you want, but you've been warned...and posting about it on the internet probably isn't the best idea either.

Yes very true. 1 day of fun is not worth 10 years, and never being to be able to buy a gun ever again!!!

+1 Considering that CIA/FBI have computer programs that sniff out tagged words such a "fully automatic" you might as well just give up.

Add to the fact that google caches EVERYTHING I wouldn't continue your quest.

    :(
