Alright, im back in the fox market again. Been looking at them for a year. The market is flooded with over priced beaters. Are prices up and quality down all across the country, or just in my neck of the woods?

I've been looking too and I agree prices seem to be up since I bought the notch.

I have always had a soft spot for fox saleens. I ran across a 85 that was pretty rough by anyones standards. It would have a honest value of $4000 tops. Alot of missing parts and a hole from aftermarket sunroof. It had a asking price of $25000! That is more than I have ever seen a mint 85 go for! I just don't get it.

Prices def seem to be up...even for cars in pretty rough shape. I have seen (or know of) a few clean examples in my area for decent prices though.

    For example...

    93 Reef Blue coupe
black interior, 5 spd, five lug conversion with Pro stars, TFS Hi Ports (original), Holley intake, X Cam, long tubes, X pipe, 3.73's, etc....clean car thats been 12.teens. They're asking $8k for it.

that cars price is now 8K, which is still too much.

If he cut that in half it would be high for what it is. But I would buy it and try to save its life.

As a rule of thumb. The more the years go on, the more expensive they will become. everyone wants a fox to build these days and to have as a second vehicle. In my opinion its the best car to own and the funnest if its a car you only drive on the weekends to raise hell. Funny how many heads these things turn while cruisin down the road.

The "custom" sunroof is really the biggest concern with that car. If your a body man, probably no biggie, but to pay someone to undo that, i can only imagine how hard they would hit you.

Family own's a resto shop. To fix it correctly would take 30-40 hours. Standard bodyshop rate(not resto shop) is $50. That is huge factor on that cars value.

yeah, thats one of the few i know of that are asking reasonable prices for clean stangs. Man, $6k for a clean stocker is pretty good.... I paid $5500 for my LX like 4 years ago!
