    Isn't the rad cover/core support in the way of getting to the nut in the first place? I don't think you could even get a drill on there without having to take the alternator bolts out and have it sitting on its back. But even after doing all that it still wouldn't work for the above mentioned reasons and more.

    Maybe hook up a short belt connected to a gerbil's wheel and let Lemmiwinks do his thing overnight. :shrug: :rlaugh:

    Ive gotten to it and take it off. I used a long extension and a swivel though.

    But thats besides the point.


    Ok so this is basically what I want to know:

    If you turn the alternator over by some other means than the belt, would it be possible to charge the battery? I NEVER plan on doing this, it will just help me under stand something about cars a little better.
