I did a 2.3 turbo swap a while back and I had a weak injector pulse, I had a set of 19lb injectors laying around so I decided the put them in and see if anything changed. It did, I had a bright pulse (shown on the noid light) and it finally sounded like it wanted to start. I set the timing and it fired up. But it would die after 20 seconds of running. Which is most likely because of the 19lb injects not matching with the computer and vain air meter.

what impedence (low or high) are injectors out of a 1988 turbo coupe. Brown tops are 36lb. correct? Where is the cheapest place to get a set of 4?

I have a set of 8 38lb (for a 1993 5.0) fordmotorsport injectors laying around from another project could I put those on my car? will they work with my vain and computer? Im pretty sure these wont work but I figured I would ask you guys.

dont do it, the 2.3ts are low imp. 5.0s are high, you may mess up your computer.

 I used to be able to smoke the tires up to 300mph on my car.. then i had to replace them b/c i burned all the rubber off. i put some temporary spares on there that i had laying around, and now my car is even slower.. it just sits there and burns rubber and never goes anywhere.

j/k seriously man, use the right parts. running the wrong flow rate and wrong impedance injectors will most likely not fix a weak injector signal. is it one cylinder or all 4? if it is all 4, then it's a voltage problem, and not a faulty injector. if it is only one cylinder, i would take a closer look at that particular injector. have you verified the signal is weak? have you used a meter or better yet, an oscilloscope, to verify that the voltage is weak? if so, get a wiring diagram and start doing voltage drop tests to determine the location of the problem. also, you want another set of the correct injectors, go to www.turboford.org and post a message in the wanted section. there's always someone selling a known good set of brown tops.

sorry, forgot to mention that the 2.3t stock brown top injectors are low impedence. it has been a while since i measured on, but the resistance is low, somewhere around 2 to 4 ohms. just use your digital multimeter and check the resistance (ohms) of each injector. they should all be the same. pretty much all high impedence injectors that I have measured have been over 14 ohms.
