If you have an offroad only x pipe on your ride, what does this do to your ability to get an inspection if anything?

Having an off road H or X pipe on your vehicle, has really nothing to do with the state saftey inspection requirements..However, depending on your state's emission laws, requirements has everything to do with it..For ie, if your state requires that your vehicle be visually inspected and or tested for their state emission inspection and happen to see you have an off road pipe, chances are your going to be failed..The only way around this, that I'm aware of.. Is if your particular state has what is called an emissions exemption law, which means if your vehicle is not a daily driver and has a total of 4000 miles or less per year, then chances are you'll be just fine, provided that a visual inspection, still isn't required...The best way to find this out, is to check with your state's Department of Motor vehicles, and find out what their requirements are..Anyway, hope you find some of this as helpful..
