Intake gaskets...HOW???

How did i manage to "blow" both upper and lower intake gaskets?? Now i need to replace them all, just curious as to how this would have happened

thats impossible to blow them out unless your runnin crazy boost through there. by looking at your mods, u dont have a blower.do you mean you "sucked" them in

my vote was for overtightened or tightened in the wrong sequence. both of which will cause weak spots allowing the gaskets to fail

well i installed the intake about 3 years ago, and now the gaskets are "squeezing out" I suppose i either over tightened them, or in the wrong sequence, but either way, i get to replace them! I was just curious as to why. Thanks for the replies

Bad PCV valve?

It helps to retorque the bolts or studs ( I have ARP studs ) every other oil change. Every time I've done anything with the lower manifold some of the bolts or nuts were loose.

So it was fine for 3 years then the problem showed up?
sounds weird to me.
I would have to say for installation error tho, but show a pic or define what blowing them means

I think most use RTV for the ends and toss the end gaskets for the lower intake.

yeah i use rtv and throw te end garbage out
