i'm wondering if anyone has taken off the intake muffler on the intake from the m.a.s to the t.b.?i have the steeda intake and am trying to decide if i should remove the muffler and plug the hole, and with what?

Are you referring to the stock rubber intake tube ??? or the Hydrocarbon trap, that's inside of the rubber tube ?? And what hole, are you talking about ?? There is no hole to plug up..However, if you have the Steeda air intake, Steeda now has it's own plastic intake tube..Just go to www.steeda.com and you'll see it on the home page, below the superchargerfrdfrst said:i'm wondering if anyone has taken off the intake muffler on the intake from the m.a.s to the t.b.?i have the steeda intake and am trying to decide if i should remove the muffler and plug the hole, and with what?![]()

You mean, it's not inside the tube ?? Then where is it? under the throttle body side ? or underneath the factory airbox side ?? I have no idea as to what your referring to..frdfrst said:if you look under the inlet tube on the bottom side you'll see it.its hidden pretty well under there.![]()

this "muffler" is located exactly where on the stock air inlet tube?frdfrst said:its not the filter.ford uses it to cut down on the noise from the intake.as far as i know most companys use them.i'll get some pictures when my steeda inlet tube comes this week and try and post them.![]()
