Intercooler install ---- pics

Just thought I'd let everyone out know that if you don't have the cash for a 1,400 hundred dollar intercooler there is a cheaper way. I bought the cooler off of ebay for 179.00 and a 3" pipe kit from ebay for 120.00. I made the brackets from a piece of straight steel (lowes 2/3 bucks) and used threaded rod for the supports.

The pipeing from the blower to the intercooler side is complete also. I am hoping to finish this this weekend.

so deos it still go through the radiator or just through that intercooler?

Not sure what this means. This intercooler is only for the discharge air coming off of the blower so that there is cooler air going into the motor. Temperature drop I won't know tell I get it running. Im going to put some sensors on it for a reading. I figure anything drop in temp. is better then nothing. I know that there is a 1.5 psi drop across the cooler.

You're gonna end up with a major air restriction by doing that. That 1.5 psi drop was at what boost level. Im thinking the most boost you throw at it the more obvious the restriction is going to become.
