Interior Fasteners for Mach I

Hello,

Is there an interior fastener kit for Mustang II Mach I? I'm starting from scratch here. If not, is there a list of sizes for fasteners so I can piece one together? Do any other mustang generations interior fastener kits work? Any info helps!

I don't know of kit specific to the Mustang II however, they're just collections of the same screws the rest of us have.

Have you reviewed what is in these: https://lmr.com/product/search?vehicle=1979-93-Mustang&q=interior+hardware
Thanks, but I’m not sure what you mean by “ they’re just collections of the same screws the rest of us have”. I literally have no fasteners to reference. The painter scattered all of that (long story) and as mentioned before, am starting from scratch. All I have is the interior parts themselves.

What I mean is: There's nothing special about the interior screws of a Mach I. They're the same pieces used in previous and later year cars.

I see what you mean about having nothing to go by. I would probably start with a kit like this:

From there you could determine which ones you need more of or whether you need something even longer than what's here. Note that each fastener is listed so, it would get you started.

Check these guys out too:

When you play with their search engine, you'll discover that they don't list much specifically for M2. Again though, it's just a different mixture of the same screws and fasteners as other years that are close.

Welcome to the site and the II group!

As far as I know, no one has put together a list of screws and their locations for the interior of a II. I've had the interior torn out of my car since 2001 and have lost all the screws that I didn't use when I put the dash back in. I'm now trying to prepare myself to finally put it all back together more properly instead of just driving as is. So what I did was ordered a few different kits from Amazon that should cover most everything:

Beyond that it's probably going to be lots of trial and error and running back and forth from the hardware store unless someone else has more insight. Maybe @Enzio can help a little more than I?

Sorry I'm not more helpful..... :(

I kept close track of all the fasteners when I took it apart the last time. Labeled in plastic bags. Some of the screws needed to be replaced (rust, stripped threads, mauled phillips, etc.). So I did the same as @LILCBRA . Don't stress out, buying the kits shown above will get you everything you need and then some.
