I just picked up a 1987 2.3/5sp vert in 6H (Jonquil Yellow). Hey, I told the wife its her's. Perfect interior and top, NO rust, love these AZ cars.

So far: rebuilt T5 and new clutch, rebuilt front end w/Bilsteins, minor engine work and tune, generic AutoZone rag joint, ebay headlights, and misc electrical.

Next: strut tower brace, PS delete and Flaming River rack, turbo engine w/IC, sub-frame connectors and rear control arms.

Heres a pretty bad picture. I put 5.0 Bilsteins and new spring seats in the front and it raised it two inches. I'm going to pull the springs and try loping a half coil off.

Definately a work in progress.

If it raised 2 whole inches, I think you need more than 1/2 a coil cut off.
