Well good luck with it, Kris! When you get back and get it going; make a road-trip down to MCAS-Yuma and show these guys what a real musclecar looks like. Every time a Missy-b*tchy farts past me with a pair of Field Covers (do they still call them that?) leaning up against the seatbacks; I just shake my head. A few years ago, there was one Fox-body that would come out of the Main Gate and sounded baaaaaadd; Turns out it belonged to the Dad of one of the guys in my Boy Scout Troop, and I'd seen vids of the car at the track, living up to it's exhaust tone. Knew the guy was a Scarrier-driver; but it wasn't until they left for Pax that I found out he was the Old Man of (VMF 513 or 214, I forget which). Going by the way the car ran, and adding in the Sheep's historical rep; I'm guessing 214. Since then, it's been a couple of serious running 4x4's and some imports; not much else.
I was with 3/10th Mtn in AF when Gates extended us for an additional 4 months. I was lucky enough to get the 1k a month. I used it to promptly purchase the T-5 conversion and 4 wheel dic conversion for my 70 sportsroof...almost made it worth it...almost. give em hell over there!
