i got my first stang about 6 months ago and im still lovin it. its a 01 gt now has about 95k miles on it. the man i got it from was older and never drove it hard. so my question is it has a AUTO trans and how long should this tranny last before i start to have trouble i got a pretty heavy right foot so that plays a bug part in it. THANKS

How many miles are on it already? Put a stacked plate trans cooler on there and it should last a good amount of time.

Well the 4R70W holds up very well. Mine might go out next time I drive it but it has given me 7 years of full abuse. But always remember to change Tranny Filter & Fluid every 15,000 - 20,000 miles. I do it every 10,000 miles, call me crazy but when I pull the pan she looks brand new!

when I pulled the pan off my dodge ram trans. it looked brand new too. but I'm pretty sure it was the origional fluid from 180,000 miles ago :rlaugh:
