i just got a 03 cobra. ive been looking at performance parts like crazy. i picked out a bunch of stuff i just want your opinions if its worthy of buying or recommending something else. I just came into money so i got some to spend on my cobra. The list is SLP loudmouth catback, slp x pipe, mil eliminators, steeda intake, diablosport delta chip, and steeda 2.81 pulley w/ serpentine belt.

How much money do you have? You might want to look into the Kenne Bell or Whipple twin screw and make 600+ RWHP. However the mod list you have sounds good and should get you around 450rwhp on the dynojet. I would also invest in some good drag radials, the eagle F1s although pretty good will hurt you if you plan on drag racing. BTW you should move this to the TALK section you will probably get alot more responses.

I merged your threads together because there's no need to post the same questions twice in the two SVT forums.

Your list of parts looks good, but before you go for the "Chip" let me ask a question... Do you have a local dyno you can go to? What software do they use there for tuning? You might want to talk to your local dyno shop first before you decide on putting a chip in the car. You may be better off going with a handheld tuner, one that can be supported by the local dyno guys.

    Just a thought....

yea i live on Long Island, New York. Mustang Magic is a tuner shop by me with a dyno. Since i have them nearby you think im better off going with the Diablosport Predator handhelp programmer instead of the Diablosport chip?

Mustang Magic is a good shop from what I hear and read. Supposedly "Joe" is the man to speak with over there.

Chip or handheld... I prefer the handheld tuner over a chip mainly because of the added flexibility it provides along with the ability to use it as a data-logger and OBD II scan tool. Yeah it's gonna cost you a little more for the handheld tuner with custom tune installed vs a custom burned chip, but the handheld allows you to perform additional tasks not readily capable with a chip. The handheld already has a safe premade performance pulley tune installed from the factory. Install all your new mods at the house, then upload the canned tune to get your car down to Mustang Magic for a custom tune. :nice:

You definatly need to go with the predator tuner. No need for MILs, have your cooling fans come on sooner, be able to flash your PCM easily when you get more mods, override traction control, have your shift light come on at 6200 rpm and that doesn't count the differnt things it was meant to do.

I'd highly recommend Borla stinger catback and bassani catted x and midlength headers, 2.93 upper pulley, billetflow diff. brace, idlers and brackets, Pro 5.0/MGW shifter, MM subframes, H&R race springs, JLT fender CAI, Gordsford heat exchanger, LDC Chicago cooling mod, and Nitto tires.

I only have a few of these mods and the car is great.

Congrads on owning the best Mustang made to date.

Good luck. The list above is a good one. :nice: Your initial performance mods should be intake/exhaust and tune. For safety get the BF IRS brace. A aftermarket shifter is a great mod ( MGW, Pro. 5.0, etc. ). Then down the road do the upper, HE, maybe a lower, port the Eaton, springs, yada, yada, yada. It never ends. :(
