I am looking to have a Kenwood DDX7015 unit installed in my car. I presently have the Mach 1000 system in the car and was wondering if this unit would match up to this system or if the amps and subs would have to be replaced. I will be removing the Mach 1000 system this fall to have a roll cage installed but just wanted to see if I could use this Kenwood unit by it's self untill then. Thanks
I think it will with an adaptor, I'll check tomarrow at work. BTW... the DDX7015 is discontinued, it was last year's model. The new one is the DDX7017. Better user interface and cosmetics.
DDX7015 over DDX7017: Up to 5V Preamp out from 2V (HUGE feature) 2 AV in, 1 Out up from 1 in and 1 out Has dedicated back up camera input w/ reversing image New AV remote for better control of dual zone and NAV Also the new Excelon piece is the DDX8017 Has 5.1 processor built in Controls Excelon amp I know there are more on both new this year than I am listing, I am shooting these from memory. But what do I know, we are just the factory Kenwood reps.
We are an indepenant rep firm and have a separate distribution company. The amount of lines we have would make your head spin. Home, car, computer accessories, navgation, sporting goods, pet accessories......... We have different sales staff for each type of catagory. I started in car audio retail almost 20 years ago. Started in sales, then sales managed, purchased, store manager, had my own expediting business for about 5 years, sold it, became a sales rep for our Home Theater/Automation division, worked in to sales management at our company, now am the GM of our distribution company. Here are the brands we do just in my division: Product Lines
oh,your a rep firm, i aslo worked for X-File Audio(off spring of Dual) and Ample Audio.I was a sales rep, tech supprt and helped design some of the products and did testing.
When I used adapters to hook up my aftermarket radio to my Mach 1000 amps, it worked but didn't sound very good compared to stock. I ended up yanking my whole Mach system out and built a custom system. There is a thread with my install pics further down.
I ended up getting the DDX-1707 and had it installed yesterday. It fit right in to the stock Mach 1000 system with the correct harness. Now I have to study the manual and play around with it to dial everything in.
I also just picked one up very cheap.I liked the one I put in my buddy's truck and had to have one too
