Am i going to be safe running an LA3 and big VAM without an intercooler? I swapped mine in today just to see how it would run and it's utterly amazing how much better it runs over the stock ECU and vam...i really don't wanna take it off now :rlaugh:
  2. Red_LX Doubt I could be of much help, unless you need por

The Merkur guys told me to drop the timing to 10* and see how 15psi goes without pinging. I didn't know about the timing (stock XR4Ti is 13*) but i didn't hear any pinging and i'm at 16psi.

My damn timing belt cover is busted to hell and back so i don't even have timing marks to go by. I'm gonna see how it runs on the highway at WOT and see if it pings any.

WOW does it run better though...easily the best mod i've done to this car so far.

whatever you do dont use a top mount without a scoop or hole in the hood I put a big vam a pe and a top mount without a scoop it ran great until the ic heat soaked from no air about 5 minutes. I think it would have been better without it
