ANYONE FROM LAS CRUCES OR EL PASO? I JUST PUT MY MUSTANG TOGETHER AND WANT TO HIT THE DRAG STRIP WITH SOME OTHER MUSTANG DRIVERS, BULLS-hit about mustangs ,swap parts or provide some service.
I am from Alamogordo. We have a mustang club up here. We like to hit the drag strip in El Paso as much as we can. Alot of guys also do the SCCA racing in El Paso as well. We will probably start going back the the track this spring, mayber sooner. Keep in touch on this forum and we can maybe get together and talk mustangs sometime. Later.
I'm from El Paso, sadly you are a little late. Thunder Alley is closed until further notice. The only other place to race legally is Desert Demons, which IMO sucks ass. They only give you your 1/4 ET, no MPH, 60ft times. There are plenty of bad ass mustangs here just no where to run.
Hey curse, do you know what happend at thunder alley? I heard it was closed, but not sure why. Desert demons does suck. No order what so ever, and a big ass bump right where I shift into second plus I really don't think their times are very accurate. Roswell also closed, man it is starting to suck out here.
Nothing but drama man. The owner would post dates when the track was going to be open for TnT, if there wasn't a big enough turnout he would not open the track. So the people who showed up would be waiting for nothing. People stopped going all together, so the owner started losing money. He lowered the price for TnT to $10 towards the end of the season, but would only hold it the same day there was a points race in between rounds. So if a car broke during a points race you and you were waiting for TnT, you would be SOL. Supposedly people are looking into either building a new track somewhere off I-10, or getting a group of people together and buying Thunder Alley. Only real track left around here is Arroyo Seco.
Hey man, I am moving out to El Paso this week from Atlanta, GA. Somehow google pulled up this thread when i was lookin for a mustang group out there. I dont know anyone in El Paso, but i know i'll feel at home with a mustang group. my rides are in my signature.

Las Cruces Mustang Association Hey everyone I started a Mustang club here in Las Cruces (LCMA) a couple months ago and so far its going great, we have over 10 cars and it seems to get better and better in having a variety of Mustangs. If anyone is looking for a mustang club in El Paso there is one here called Sun City Stangz. Not the team I am in but the president of the team is a friend of mine. For some info on their team pm me and ill get you the info.
There is a Mustang/Ford show in Alamogordo on the 16th of April at the park on the main drag. Alamogordo Mustang Club, Inc. There is a PDF file to click on on the right side of the page that will download the entry form.
