    Hello all,
I have been looking since I got back from Iraq for a good daily driver while I work on my 68 Coupe. Well I came across a 97 Cobra Convert that the guy wanted $5300 for. He is trying to get rid of things and get money for a down payment on a house. I went and looked at it and it seems pretty straight and not too abused. A few things I did notice is going into second gear it will grind if you try to get it in there quickly. It gives a little grind but if you go slower it goes right in. What do you think that could be? I dont want to get this thing and have the tranny go out on my a week later. It will also need the seats to be recovered, new shocks/springs (lowering), and just a good professional cut and buff. So what does everyone think? Is it worth it? Here is the VIN in case someone can help me out with a carfax:

    1FALP46V1VF144735

    97 Cobra Convertible
    103,XXX miles
    Top Works
    Needs Shocks
Tranny Has small grind when putting into 2nd gear with force
    Needs buffing/cleaning

Any information you may have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help in advance!

    Kris

My first guess would be Synchronizes... Pretty normal for those to go first
