:stupid: Hi I have a blown passenger door speaker(lower speaker). It has the 460 system installed in it.

Do I need to go to Ford and buy Ford replacements or will any set of speaker work?

I think they are 5 1/4 is this true?

How dose the door panel come off?

thanks for you expertise I really appreciate it

You can replace them with whatever you want,I put some Infinity' s in a freinds and they sounded pretty good. They are 5X7.

To remove the panel, remve the switch panel, there might be screw behind it,remove the tweeter grill, theres a couple of screws that secure the pod to the door. There might be a push pin towards the rear of the panel, the panel will slide upwards.

I would buy a 5 1/4 component set and sneak those inthere make a baffel, Coaxil speakers in my mind will always sound distorted.

    5x7

    5 1/4?????????????

what makes a better low tone speaker? Round or oval?

Being the speaker wont be a full rage due to the fact it is going to the factor crossover?

I have always thought the round speakers would get better bass response but I have never had any experience with it? any thoughts
