Have any of you heard that metallic sound as a car drives by, but it's not while the car is applying it's brakes? If any of you know what I'm talking about..I pulled off my wheels and took a look at my calipers. My pads are fine and neither they nor my rotors are scored, yet there is some odd metallic sound coming from them as I drive. Does anyone know how to stop this?

It's possible you got a little chunk of something in there, or your pads could be getting thin and it's the wear indicator riding on the rotor. This will not screw up the rotor, just give you an annoying high pitched metal on metal noise. If that's what the sound is, you probably need new pads.

No it's not that, I've checked my pads and they're fine. That's what I thought at first but it wasn't the case. That's why it's got me

Might be a wheel bearing going bad.

Might be your brake line rubbing against your wheel
