I finally got my Magnaflow Magnapack Catback exhaust system last night from FedEX!! And ofcourse I had to try doing the swap in my garage. LOL. Without a lift or a pit it would have been ridiculous to get the pipes out from under the car so I had to put it allll back together and go to the shop I used to work at to do it this morning. It sounds great. I love it. Definately turns some heads now. Now I have to think of what I want to do next :)))))

I will post pictures as soon as I get them uploaded to my computer.

    So now I have:
    -JLT CAI paint matched
-SCT tuner w custom tune from the speed department at one of the Fords we have out here in Texas (supposedly this guy is rated #1 in Texas, 4 hour tune Im gonna have to agree)
    -Shorty 4 inch antenna
    -Tinted tail lights
-2.5 inch Magnaflow Magnapack catback exhaust

and more soon (4.10's, frpp springs, rims/tires, long tube headers)

How do you post pics straight to the thread and Ill put some up of the CAI and read lights for now

    :))) I love this car

oh also to post pictures upload them to something like image shack, and then get the link that ends in like .jpeg, and click on the picture with the mountains on the reply screen, and put the link there. it'll do the rest of the work for you. :nice:

Its a full catback exhaust. It bend over the axle and you have to twist and pull it straight down. It was a pain until I got in the pit. And thank you Ill get pics up in the morning. Well technically it is right now but not at like 1 am. Haha

Cool, pics would be nice. You should go with headers, cold air induction and a new throttle body next...to complete the system!

dude you didnt mention you have the best color available! hah.

love vista blue. if mine didn't have stripes from the factory ours would be showroom floor twins haha.

although, things can't stay stock for long, so things would of looked different after a little while anyway. hah

where did you get the magnapack catback? i am considering either just straight piping the car or throwing a nice muffler on the back. right now its open H pipe, and sounds pretty ballsy.

Throttle bodies and spacers are not worth it on the 3V cars. Most people have a lot of tuning problems with throttle body swaps, and there is not really any power gain unless you are running a lot of boost.

HAHAHA yeah I love this color! I also like marroon and black but everyone has black. I got mine from planet magnaflow. I guess its a sister site to stangnet so the exhaust is normally 780 or something, I did the make an offer price and I got it shipped and it had no tax on it all for 429! Great price! It isnt as loud obviously as straight pipes or running through the h pipe but I didnt want it that loud, I ran no mufflers for a while and it got to be obnoxious where I live so I put them back on. So its still loud but it just sounds mean as hell :)

Yeah I really dont want either of them, but I have heard decent things from both. But Ive also heard you need to do one or the other if you decide to do it because they both give you about the same increase in power and gas but if you put them both together you actually dont gain anymore than just having one. So if I did anything it woulf have to be the spacer but I doubt it. I need money to do some exterior work LOL

One exterior mod that I have done for about $6 was to paint the fake gas cap on the trunklid flat black with a can of spraypaint, never a big fan of the big piece of chrome. A set of GT500 takeoff wheels and tires might be a nice mod for you. They are pretty cheap if you shop around.

Personally Im not a huge fan off the mixed colors on a car. Not that its ugly just not for me. I beleive I will be getting black chrome fr500 rims but if i can find them i want black fr500's with the chrome part painted a blue color. It sound weird at first but I saw them like that on chrome fr500 with blue lip and it looked sick but i have no clue how he got it done and didnt even think to ask.

You can order it like that or a new one straight from JLT's site, or whenever you need it to be cleaned just buy the blue filter cleaner and its basically just a paint that goes on when you clean it

I live in Plano. DFW area

I didn't make the car a different color, just the chrome part. The blue might have been powder coated, I have never really seen a colored lip on a chrome wheel. I have seen a small red stripe on black rims in pictures but thats it. Good luck with whatever you come up with.
