looking for some picks of some gt's with the rear spoiler moved back a couple inches. read about a few guys doing it and I've been thinking about it for a while now, just want to see how it looks first...

also for those of you that did it, were you able to get away without re-painting? it looks as though the old mounting holes will still be covered but I'm thinking about how faded the paint will be in the surrounding areas...

also while I'm at it, are the 01-04 GT spoilers different than 99-00? I see alot of different ones so just wondering what the difference is too.

I think the 99-00 spoiler looks good when moved back, & I cant stand the 01-04 spoiler. I swapped mine for an 03-04 Cobra spoiler

Here is mine, it's a '99. It's been a long time but I am thinking it was moved back about 2.5 in. Really did make a difference, escpecially when you see it next to one in the stock location!

I moved mine back like 2.5 inches, best descision I ever made anytime I see stock 99-00 spoilers now they look stupid mounted half-way up the trunk. IMO it looks alot more agressive moved back!

I wanna do mine, but under the edges of the spoiler it look like the clear is all messed up so if I moved it back that would be visible. :notnice: I really wanna move it back!

I clayed it, then put some polish to buff it out. The clay got most of it, but then the polish got it off. Take the spoiler off (just 4 bolts) and post some pics of what you think won't come off. :nice:

Pics of it in my sig. Very easy to do and i think it made a nice different. I still need to get rid of the scuffs underneath where the spoiler was tho.

well I had some extra time today so I broke down and got it done. surprisingly, it only took a 1/2 hour including cleaning up the trunk, and I had to gring off one of the nuts.

bad cell pic but you get the idea... thanks guys

looks good :nice: it'sa little nerve wrecking to drill holes in your car but it's totaly worth it in the end! I still need to buff out the scratches from the old one on mine to.

Good job man--you will like it! It is a bit nerve wracking but it's good to follow the old "measure (at leastfour times), drill once"....
