Side pipes can be sweet, but its hard to have enough ground clearence. Tell us what it sounds like with the glasspacks.

glasspacks are good on certain motors. Not good for all, soundwise. all the old chevy trucks have'em and good god it sounds like someones just shooting an automatic shotgun, nasty as crap. Of course these are like the 20 dollar glasspacks, but well, ya know. But I am getting a set of "glasspacks", but they are triple chambered and vortexed, Borla XR-1 Racing Bullets, super nice clear sound.

Do they still make glass packs ? ?

I figured people would have stoped using glass packs years ago. They got all that glass in them that slows air flow down bad and makes the car sound like a old Chevy truck. I hope they have improved the design of them over the last decade.

Well, most original style glasspacks are still as crappy as they were years ago, but the Borlas that I'm talking about are heat treated and compressed to form a solid wall (so there is basically no reduction in sound level).
