I liked the Darker black interior WAYYYYY more than the charcoal interior. Just my opinion though

how many modifications need to be done to put a 03-04 dash in a 97. I could use a new dash and I liked how 03-04 did not have the clock bubble in the middle.

I just think the 01+ dash and console setup is laid out better than the 94-00 setup.

Just my opinion, but by 00, it was like Ford was tossing switches anywhere it could. The traction control was near the shifter. OK, that makes sense so you could reach from the shifter and turn it off.

But if i want the rear defroster, i had to push a button under the headlights? That makes no sense. Defrost should be near the climate controls..not on the other side of the dash.

WHat about fog lights? Oh wait, the button for that is next to the e-brake. Yes, lets put the defrost button under the headlights and the fog lights down by my hip.

In 01, Ford finally put all 3 together in the center where they belong, and upgraded to a decent 6-disk changed.

The cup holders aren't bad at all either, i could easily put a coffee in the front holder and drive no prob at all and shift through the gears.

Again, just my opinion, we all have our own. But I just loved my '03's interior.

I definitely agree with you about the perforated leather door inserts that the 94-95 models had. That was my favorite part about the interior of my old 95, but I like the later dash setup without the clock, & all the controls in the dash. I hated the fold out cup holder & the ash tray setup in the 94-97 models though & I think the later cupholders are a lot better. The true black interior of the 94-98 was great, but the seats were horrible compared to my Mach 1 seats.....
