Im interested in purchasing a GT hood with the scoop to replace the stock hood on my 01 v6, does anyone know ware I can find one for a good price, how much would it cost if I had to get it painted?, is the hood easy to put on yourself, what would I need to install it, any advice is well appreciated

I'd say get one of the bolt on hood scoops.. they're cheaper and you don't have to do as much work. Its cheaper to get just the bolt on painted too than the whole hood.. Idk about any definite prices tho. I think you can find just the scoop for around 150 online

i just put a gt hood on my 6 2 weeks ago. i bought the hood on ebay for about $225 including shipping, and paid $300 for paint. the only thing you might have to adjust is the hood latch. i had to mess around with it for less than an hour to move the latch down so it would latch properly.

The Cervini's cowl hoods look nice and are good quality.

i like the look of the 2000 cobra r's but i'm sure that would be fairly expensive. pretty much anything beat the stock sixer hood though. Good luck.

Cervini's Stalker hood is killer. Got mine used, then painted to match, for about $650. Exspensive, but very worth while!~
And anything does beat the stock look, I had put the GT hood scoop on my old hood a while back, that's fairly inexspensive, and does a lot for the looks.

Search ebay for a while, they always have them on there.

Yeah like Max said, I'm sure if you look on ebay, you can find one that is already painted so that could cut down costs quite a bit.
