Too many people have passed rumors about delays for one reason or another. The fact of the matter is mustangs are rolling off the line, complete and ready to go. Cars have been released to holding yards for shipping. Ford would not keep the line going and cars rolling out the doors if there were a problem. There was never an OFFICAL ford release that said the mustang would be in showrooms by OCT 10th. This was all dealer and internet speculation. Often times the release of an entirely new model is dictated by a manufacturers current stock of the previous model year.

Too many people are given bad info from dealers. I have said it once and I will say it again. Dealers know very little about what goes on at ford HQ. Your friend that works at the local dealer in Bum Fuct Arkansas doesn’t have the inside track, neither does your salesman. Ford HQ doesn’t tell the dealers much.

The dealer gives you the earliest possible arrival date so he can get you deposit. Dealers will be optimistic, fudge numbers, hear rumors started by fellow salesmen, and out right lie to make a sale. When was the last time a dealer or salesman knew more about a mustang than you?

Glad to see that you can read and comprehend what someone posts :nice: . Maybe we all should call your local dealership, because they seem to have the inside scoop. :stick:

I'm not going to even bother looking until late November or December. They will most likely sell as fast as they get them in.

He should change his name from DUBster10 to DUMBster10. Can't even spell his own city name right! BTW, I have some land off the coast of Florida for sale that I will include all 10 of those Mustangs in the price...

All of the Mustang sites are full of a-holes, dude. There are some helpful individuals, but mostly it's a bunch of jack offs. If you ask a noob question you get the stock response, "do a search." I've used the search option on all the sites and more times than not it's a waste of time and shows me nothing I'm looking for. Do a search at the home page of Stangnet for something like "4.10 gears automatic" You'll get, "sorry, no match" or some crap like that. Then you sign up and you're a noob, you just bought a Mustang and you want to know what the best gear ratio would be for your 99+ mustang with an automatic, and you get some dork wad who takes the time to post, "do a search" or something smart a s s like, "there's a little button up there called, SEARCH, see what it does" I mean, they take the time to be a dick to you instead of just saying, "4.10s for an auto, 3.73 for a 5 speed." See how easy that is? Or worse yet you'll get totally ignored and wonder why you bothered to buy a car and join a community full of trash talking crackheads.

Hell, if no one wants to answer the simple questions then somebody ought to post a sticky at the beginning of every sub forum that reads, "Quick answers to quick questions" And have all the most mundane crap covered.

It's too easy to be helpful. More fun to be a pain in the a s s

I even saw a post once where some dude was so perturbed by another dude's smiley face choices in his posts that he went out of his way to say so. Who gives a Fuct?

Anyways, ciao, and good luck with future endeavors.

I've been a strong supporter of Ford, Mustang and 2005 Mustang. So much so people here have complained. But this press release is total BS. It really doesn't say much of anything and Ford has never told us what their schedule really was, other than Job 1 was supposed to be Sept 7.

Ford really started building production 2005 Mustangs in Mid August, they announded the official public start of production on Sept 27, but the whole time since they've been parking them in holding lots.

As of Oct 11 the 05's are finally shipping, so Ford makes a big announcement, "we're shipping them on schedule." The on schedule ship date is a factious date they made up to agree with when they were finally ready to ship them. :bang: :bang: :bang:

Ford dealers are all a bunch of idiots. They don't even know WHEN they are going to be getting the new 2005 Mustangs in. We will not see any of these cars until November. I have given up waiting to see even one dealer here in my local area to get the 2005 Mustang in.
