    My new toy..impressed!! Pics Added!!

Alright, I finally made the cross over to the S-197 world..I work at the Ford dealership in my hometown in south east Iowa, and have been contemplating this for awhile.. Before this I had an 03 GT that was Kenne Bell s/c and I loved the damn thing. I had owned about 30 cars prior to this, and with the exception of a 98 SS Camaro it was my first real glimpse into the world of muscle cars. I bought the 03 with 5k miles on it and when I traded her she had nearly 70k, so in 4 years we definitely spent some time together.. My sales manager @ the dealership bought this 06 GT last year and put a mere 2.2k miles on it..so its still a baby and the price was right so I did it and after owning it less than a month Im real happy.. Its an 06 Satin Silver GT, bone stock when I bought it, right at 3k on the odo right now...Has the Shaker 1000 system in it and all that good stuff..I was a bit anxious as to whether Id be happy going from the 03 to the 06 style and giving up my s/c, but I cannot complain. I am looking forward to getting to know more of you on here, Ive frequented quite a few forums over the years and moderate a local drag racing forum.. I was really up in the air as to where I would begin modding this car but I knew I wanted to go one of two routes.. 1 either I wanted to mildly modify it and keep it NA, or 2 I wanted to base it off the Roush Stage 3 which is the route I have taken.. The FedEx guy brought me about 7k worth of Christmas early:damnit: (Reason for the smiley: I said I was going to try and resist as much as possible with modifying this car...3 weeks later there are 2 huge white Roush boxes at my door and a nice hole in my wallet)..So let me know what you think, and as soon as this weather breaks I will get some pics posted.. I appreciate everyones input and its good to be a member, thanks for your time!

Congrats on the S197! Can't go wrong with cloning the Stage 3 Roush especialy as I don't see many silver Roush Stangs.

Welcome a board Nate. We have found that the Rouch super chargers don't work on the S197. The only 2 mods that I've found that have any real impact is the tb spacer and the tornado with a quart of slick/50 ha ha, just kidding!!!! Good luck with the car and the super charger should be sweet.

Oh man, Ill have to give that a try!! And thank all of you for your warm welcome, hopefully this thing will come together well and be ready for the spring/summer (any of you that have ever seen an Iowa winter understand my frustration with all these damn parts sitting in my basement and the half inch covering the streets:shrug: ) As soon as we get a half ass descent day (last 2-3 weeks have weve seen a high of maybe 15 degrees and had snow about every other day) Ill get some pics of her and the parts so I can show you all the progress. Anyways, thanks for the kind words and I look forward to getting to know you all better!

Cool! I'm originally from Omaha, and still have family there. I may have to get over there for this! What track? Scribner's not there any more, is it?

Edit - I think I found it...elevation 955 feet! Woohooo! Beats the heck out of 5800 feet! Wish it was a 1/4 mile track, though.
