My boyfriend (Duece) called me and told me about a trade that they were about to receive at the dealership that he is a tech at. I went down and purchased this 90 LX with 74,xxx original miles put on by an 80 year old lady named Mary. Mary has owned Mustangs since 1964 and sadly (for her) she traded this one in on a Mercury Milan AWD, because it was going to be difficult this winter with a V8 rear wheel drive car. Colorado can have some crazy weather sometimes. She special ordered it with grey leather interior. She did a lot of research before she bought the car. We plan on keeping the mods light. So far we have done the 99+ five lug conversion on the front and ranger five lug rear (soon to be rear disc), lowered with Eibach Sportlines, cowl hood and switched out the original seats (to preserve them as it's my daily) for FR500 leather seats. Future plans are five speed, Explorer intake, and exhaust. The mufflers are the original ones and have some pinholes. Here's pictures the day we picked her up: Some interior pics: Here is with the current mods:
Wow, that looks great. It looks like it sits lower than usual even for Sportlines. Did you do anything else to get that stance? Where did you get the FR500 seats and if you don't mind me asking how much were they? I've never seen those before. Do they bolt right in?
Nice grab, I like the new wheels. I just moved to Denver and have yet to see another modded foxbody. Actually, I have seen a nice 93 Cobra but that's about it. Do any stangers meet up? I hope the winters don't get too bad, because my mustang will be the new plow on the road. Fred
I grew up in Colorado Springs in the late '80s-mid '90s and can hardly remember seeing any Foxbody mustangs at all, stock or otherwise. These cars don't do well in the snow at all and I'm sure that's the main reason why, but I can remember seeing F bodies and the SN95's when they came out, just not the Fox cars...
that is one nice, clean LX right there, you guys have some gorgeous rides... i'm curious where to get those seats as well, i've never seen them in a fox either... please help your fellow stangnetters steal your good ideas
Thanks everyone for all the compliments. I absolutely love the car and the seats!! Duece found them on the local Craigslist for a smokin' deal. I've tried to do some web searches on the FR500 seats and don't get much. I believe Ford Racing sold them for a little bit when they came out with the 99 FR500 concept car. We do have the back seat to match, but come to find out the bottom cushion is still the newer style and they had it rigged in the car they came out of, so just going to get another cushion and have it recovered, as I don't want to rig it up in my car. The front ones bolted right in, and on the bottom of the seats, they actually have like four or five more bolt holes for different tracks. Kinda cool. The driver's side is the six way power also. Blandnuts ~ If you live in Denver, it can get pretty nasty up there. There are a few nice fox bodies around, but unfortunately they aren't out as often as the newer ones. I'm sure there's get togethers and what not. There is a local board here, Coloradoracing.net that usually lists any hangouts.
Thats a perfect tire size. I wish a I had a clean auto fox for a daily driver. My Taurus SHO just doesn't do it for me.
Yeah, uh I am gonna need you to stay after class today. Does your puter at work not allow you to see the pics? If not then they are pics of her nekkid in a sweet Stang that will be down by the time you get home
