heading over to this guys house who has an 86 svo motor for sale, it has everything except the tranny. has ecm and all. what is this all worth? including wiring and intercooler?
Depending on how it looks and how many miles its got, it could probably sell anywhere between $50 and $600 or so.
Everybody hail the lord! We've got a genious on our hands Seriously dude, you've made 3 posts on stangnet...one dogging a v6 mustang saying it needs an engine swap, and two dogging 4 cylinders by talking out your ass about something you don't know. How about you zip it before you get owned like all the other "know it alls" that show up and then fade away.
You are so Right Stinger. We best watch out, he has on 07 GT500 that he built in his backyard that has 627 horses! Nevermind that it also has a body kit AND 22'S!!!!! AND he is moving to So cal to open a bodyshop!! Crap I am so enamoured with this guy. I just wish he could spell Favorite. Somehow spelling it Faverite just makes me lose a bit of the overwhelming feeling that this guy may be my new hero. And I am a bit confused why anyone would list themself as a "bodyshop worker". Anyone worth a salt would call themselves either a Technician, a Bodyman, or a Painter. Makes me think grunt that sweeps the floors and changes the booth filters? Ok, I think I have lost that overwhelming feeling now. Thanks Michael, you my friend have no disilusioned me
Don't forget the fact that he spent upwards of 50K+ to buy a GT500, but then swapped in a 7.0l motor, bodykit, and dubs to turn it into nothing more than a modded GT.
hmmmm hope your not talking about teal tigers 93 lx's car....that car of his didnt even come that clean from ford.....as for ur stupid comments that you obviously know nothing about. guess my little 2.3 is crappy too..?? anyway back to the original post. depends on too many things to say.....best thing i could say is start low and work your way up.
well it has 101,000 miles bellhousing and clutch attached but no tranny, all the wiring and terminals, the intercooler, all the ac lines the ECM and it looks to be in pretty good shape. think it would be pretty cool in my little ranger i just picked up, especially since the 2.3 dual plug in it now has no balls whatso ever
Why thank you, Sir. Offer him $200, what's the worst he can do? If he doesn't take it, counter. You never know. And lordoz runs the same style tires as I do! I feel so honored!
come on now, dont feed the trolls, especially those that cant spell. it would take an illiterate idiot to buy a 50k dollar car and turn it into a bucket of ****. even if the gt500 is ugly as ****, which it is and he needs nitrous and a turbo to squeeze 650 hp from a 7.0l.
Stinger your my hero!!..always get a chuckle when you bust balls...heard anything from your "pal" KH! ??
I was gonna get in on punkin the idiot but the line to spank his lame ass is longer than I wanna wait. "Get Em Boys!" *goes get popcorn and coke and takes a ringside seat*
Anyone see the 60 foot time in his profile? I don't think any of us could get a 627hp car to do better than a 4.7 seconds, right? Anyway, depending on how nice or nasty it is, a 2.3T engine could go for anywhere from $100 to 600+. It is a definite bonus if it has the original SVO ECU. Unfortunately, an SVO engine by itself is just another 2.3T. If the chassis was crushed, the partial VIN stamped on the block doesn't mean anything.
