Who are the best bets for MII parts?
    Preferably Canadian guys.
I see window molding on ebay all the time, anyone here have any advice. I also want new molded carpet. the Mustang place I deal with here in Calgary refuses to admit there were Mustangs made between 74-78.

Not sure of any dealers up there but there are a couple of carpet dealers here in the states selling on E-Gay that I'm sure will ship to Canada.:nice:

I got a new carpet set made by ACC (http://www.accmats.com/). The quality was pretty good and fit not too bad. Oddly enough, it was cheaper for me to get a local auto restoration dealer to order it for me than to order directly from ACC's website.

I ordered new window seals from Mustangs Unlimited. These are the same ones that are on ebay. They're a lot better than the dried out, cracked originals I had, but they don't fit tight against the windows in the corners. Maybe I need to adjust the window glass. I don't know if you'll find anyone in Canada that can get those.

Depending on what color you're looking for I have a new front carpet in the garage I'd be willing to part with for the cost to ship it up to you (I just want to get it out of the way as its the wrong color for my red interior). PM me if you're interested and I'll get some pics for you and make sure the mice didn't get it.

What color? I would be interested if it is black.
    Thanks for the replies.

Were you dealing with "The Mustang Shop"? Strange that they didn't help you out. I bought my ACC carpet from them a year or two ago from them for my daughter's '78. It wasn't cheap, but was comprable if I had purchased from an ACC dealer in the U.S. (once you factor in shipping/duty/exchange) plus they got it to me within a week. Talk to Bruce (the owner) he handles the "classic" stuff, I know some of the younger guys there won't give a II owner the time of day.

    Good luck,

It was the Mustang shop. I did talk to Bruce and in fairness he did say he could get the carpet. I was looking for someone that deals more in all the rest. ie window seals, interior pieces, body parts.

Hey guys!!! U won't have any luck around here finding new II parts. If u need rubbers and stuff, u either have to go thru mustangs unlimited or one of the II part suppliers in the US. I do have some used stuff if u need something. Still have a new pair of fiberglass fenders that i would be willing to part with. Good luck and keep up the hunt. Mike. :)

OK, just to revive this thread and ask another Q?
What are some good US suppliers, with websites?
Best bets for a full weather seal hit for a 78 t-top? e-bay?
It's time to get going on this again and want to start sourcing parts.
And BTW I will be going back to the Mustang Shop in Calgary for my carpet, just hope he can help me with other stuff too.

    Thanks all.
    Happy Holidays
