You'd have to work the tune a little. A mail order tune would probably be more octance specific.

    I had long tubes

mac longtubes, o/r h pipe, 2 chamber flows

switched to bbk xpipe, magnapacks catback, stock manifolds

had to replace my throw out bearing and it was a hassle with the headers on so while I was in their I just took em off and sold em, they didnt net me that much power that I could feel anyways but they sounded perty!

dude that sold them to me didnt buy the good coated ones so they were hts coated and all rusted

dood its different gains for different cars and mods, a tuner is definitely a great investment though, it does other things than just the tune AND it also reads obdII codes when you got a problem and/or CEL.

if you buy the xcal, buy it from american muscle, not only do we get a discount, but they also have free tunes for life, unlike brenspeed that charges for tunes after the first one (i think or thats what my buddy has done with his experience at brenspeed).

stop asking dumb questions... if you buy the tuner and set the car on the 93 octane tune, then you should be putting 93 in it...
it sounds like you want the extra power, but ur not gonna fill it up with the right stuff... most of the extra power comes from the timing advance, which requires you to run higher octane fuel..

this topic is obnoxious... if you want the tuner buy it.. the tuner does a lot more than those preloaded tunes. if your gonna put 87 in it, run the 87 tune. Dont run the 89,91,93 tune if your not gonna fill it up with that. Should you ACCIDENTALLY fill it with 87, just pull out the tuner and change it to stock/87 tune

Yeah 2002BLGT does the tuning on both my cars and does a damn fine job. :nice: I really like the Sniper. It is annoying that it cant datalog the MAF voltage or interface with a wideband but its controllability is great and customer service kicks ass too!

Sorry, :OT: Hey Willie, what do you have my timing set for now with that last tune? Are we still at 18*?

youre nuts with this tuner man you have a bunch of bolt ons there is no need for a tune and im not a fan of out of the box tunes!!! take it to some1 who knows how to tune it and you should always run 93 otcane in your mustang ive never put ne thing less in mine since i bought mine new in 03 and if your argument is gas prices are expensive my answer to that is THATS THE PRICE YOU PAY FOR PERFORMANCE :D:D:D

Whats the point of running 93 in a stock or slightly modded NA GT especially if their not tuned for it? The power gains are minimal at best and nothing with out a tune. I ran 93 in my car for about 6 months before I did my blower but I was tuned for it and gas was only like 1.20/gallon. I saw a 20rwhp gain with the tuned 93.
