Alright Alright..I know this topic has prolly been beaten to death but I am a recovering GM addict and I need help with my new mustang........

I recently purchased an 89 gt convertable and I have been having the check engine light come on intermittenly, The car has a BBK H pipe and 2.5 flowmasters, it also has a K&N cone. I have pulled codes from my GM vehicles but how do I pull the codes from the ECM in my GT and what do they mean?

I am also selling all of my GM vehicles to keep this car...should have done it much earlier. :bang:

thanks

Dump the codes and see what the computer says is wrong…

Here's the link to dump the computer codes with only a jumper wire or paper clip and the check engine light, or test light or voltmeter. I’ve used it for years, and it works great.

Trouble codes are either 2 digit or 3 digit, there are no cars that use both 2 digit codes and 3 digit codes. Codes have different answers if the engine is running from the answers that it has when the engine isn't running. It helps a lot to know if you had the engine running when you ran the test.
